Jonah Fogel is a Community Viability Specialist with Virginia Cooperative Extension. He currently serves as the Director of Virginia Tech’s Land Use Education Program (LUEP). Jonah also holds an adjunct professorship with Virginia Tech’s Center for Public Administration and Policy (CPAP) where he teaches graduate classes, including: Research Methods, and Systems Skills for Managers. In his role as LUEP Director, Jonah works with his co-directors to manage the education program and bring new resources to the effort. It’s not uncommon to see him hosting events and working closely with Mike Chandler in training sessions. In addition, Jonah works behind the scenes with organizational partners such as PlanVirginia and LUEP’s many volunteer speakers and sponsors. Without their support LUEP would not be able to fulfill its mission, providing education that brings Virginia’s future into the present!

Our educators are recognized leaders in the field of practice. We rely on their voluntary commitment of time and appreciate their willingness to help inform the discretion of planning commissioners, BZA members, elected officials and concerned citizens across Virginia. The following individuals are regularly featured speakers in our Certified programs and represent only a few of the speakers we recruit on an annual basis. We appreciate all the hard work they do, making our programming the "gold standard" for land use education.
